Raleigh- Edwin Joel Hoyt, IV, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2022.

He was a loving father to Joel Abbott Scott Hoyt; beloved son of Mary Abbott and Edwin Joel Hoyt III; faithful brother to Jeffrey and Bryan Hoyt; and uncle to little Levon.

A native of Hamburg, New York, Ed loved music, animals and celebrating with great food and friends. Despite living in the Raleigh area for over twenty years, Ed never lost his passion for his native sports teams, and could often be spotted in a Buffalo Bills cap or sweatshirt. More than anything, Ed loved his Joel and found great joy in being a father.

A memorial visitation will be held for friends and family, Thursday, October 13, 2022, 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
