Effie Sevy Crist

GARNER - Effie S. Crist, 75, passed away Tuesday June 23, 2015 after battling a long illness.  A native of West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Snowden and Eva Sevy.  Effie retired from the Fayette Co. Board of Education where she was a secretary. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Roger V. Crist in April 2015; Sister Nancy S. Williams and Brother John Sevy. She is survived by her son, Greg Crist and his wife Christine; Brother Jerry A. Sevy and his wife Laura and three grandchildren, Erik S. Crist, Britta J. Crist and Cassidy J. Crist, along with many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. She was an outstanding daughter, caring sister, loyal wife, loving mother and remarkable grandmother. There will be a Memorial Service at 1:00pm on Saturday June 27, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church.
