Eileen Elizabeth Sullivan

CLAYTON, N.C. – Eileen E. Sullivan (née Fraher) of Clayton, NC passed away on Tuesday. She was 71. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Raleigh, NC. Burial will follow at Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC. Visitation and rosary service will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner, NC. Eileen is survived by her husband of 48 years, Marc; their 3 daughters, Kelly Ruta and husband, James of Wake Forest, NC, Kristen Sullivan of Franklin Park, NJ, and Kathleen Morales and husband, Gabriel of South Plainfield, NJ. Eileen was raised in East Orange, NJ and was a graduate of Seton Hall University. Mrs. Sullivan was a Dental Hygienist for many years until she and Marc retired in 2009 and relocated to North Carolina. They have 4 grandchildren, Connor and Tyler Ruta and Madeline and Gabriella Morales. Eileen was also an avid genealogist. She was the first of her Irish family to return to Ireland since her ancestors emigrated in the 1850’s. Her research also qualified her for admission to the Daughters of the American Revolution. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eileens memory to the Division of Hematology at Duke.
