Eira Taylor Watkins

ANGIER – Eira Taylor Watkins, 94, passed away Tuesday. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel in Angier. Burial will follow in the Angier Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She was born in Harnett County on March 21, 1924 to Clarence and Maggie Taylor. In addition to her parents, Eira was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Watkins; sons, Timmy and Billy Watkins; and her sisters, Sarah O’Bryant, Mary Smith, and Rena Blalock. She is survived by her loving caregiver and niece, Sandra Surles of Angier; nieces, Peggy Myatt and husband, Ronny of Raleigh, Sharon Blalock of Charlotte; nephews Dewey Blalock, Jr. and wife, Brenda of Angier, Richard Blalock and wife, Carol of Angier, Danny Watkins, Jr. and wife, Deborah of Angier, David Watkins and wife, Stephanie of Angier; niece, Debra Adcock and husband, Randy of Angier; and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews.
