RALEIGH- Ella Mae Sauls Hurst, 90, passed away peacefully Monday morning. Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Ruth Whittington Sauls. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Turner Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Hurst Howell of Raleigh; son, Clyde Hurst, Jr., of Raleigh; sisters, Johnnie Ruth Sauls Woodall of Four Oaks, Shirley Ann Sorrell of Raleigh and Jean Russell Rhodes of Apex; brother, Silas Burns Sauls of Arlington, VA; grandchildren, Cherese Infinito, Wendi Bell, John Michael Scott, Lindsay Scott, Mandi Arnette, Chad Hurst and Holly Hurst; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde F. Hurst, Sr. and step-son, Darrell Wayne Hurst. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
