May 5, 1925 - June 24, 2012CLAYTON - Ellen Juanita Young, 87, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 24, 2012.She was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on May 5, 1925 to the late William McKinley and Lena Hildred Lanter Nelson.Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. She is survived by a sister, Nancy C. Lee, of Smithfield; nephews, McKinley Mac Wilson and wife, Patsy, Mike Proffitt and wife, Sheila, Matt Proffitt, Calmen, Mark, and Dougie Nelson; nieces, Gegee Howell, Beth Nelson, Debbie Mares, Diana Johnson, Patty Young, and Regina Chauez; 3 great nephews; 19 great nieces; sister in law, Evelyn Marie Nelson; and a special cousin, Margaret Virginia Neal Our Angel.In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her sister, Frances L. Wilson; brothers, William A. and Charles B. Nelson; and an aunt, Myrtle Neal.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the William Dunlap Hospice Center, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
