FUQUAY-VARINA –Mrs. Ellen Pinion Carr, 65, passed away at her home on Sunday with her family at her bedside. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Rosie Lee Pinion of Wake County. After graduating from Fuquay High School, she attended college to become a nurse which was her lifelong dream. She worked at Wake Memorial Hospital, Garner Medical Center and Fuquay Family Practice. Before going to work at Fuquay Family Practice, she took a short pause in nursing to help her husband in the auction business, “Carrs Auction Gallery” in Benson. The furniture she refinished for auction will be remembered by buyers for years to come. Her inspiration in life has been to inspire people around her to show dignity, strength, loving care and thoughts in every way they could. Ellen had a loving attitude and heart, always giving, but never asking for anything in return. She was a loving, caring dedicated wife, mother, sister and friend. If God ever put an angel here on earth I believe she would qualify for the job. Our family has been truly blessed by such a person and we thank God for her. Although she will be missed her inspiration and legacy will live on. Ellen is survived by her husband, Wayne H. Carr of the home; sons, James “Jamie” Barbour and wife Terri, Randall W. Carr; daughters, Heather Nichole Cook and husband, Ron, Deborah A. Carr; brother, George Pinion and wife, Fay; sister, Linda Holland and husband, Charles; grandchildren, Hannah, Dillon and Ashley. Memorial Services will be held Thursday night at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare Hospice, 250 Hospice Circle Raleigh, NC 27607 in Ellen’s memory.
