Ellen Stephens Austin

Raleigh – Ellen Stephens Austin, 93, was called to her heavenly home on July 4, 2019. She was born in Wake County to the late Claude and Agnes Stephens. Ellen was employed by Johnson’s Jewelers in Raleigh for twenty years and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Fuquay-Varina. Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am, July 8, 2019 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Garner, NC with burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Fuquay-Varina, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 11:30 am, prior to the service. In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, J.A. Austin (1988), her daughter, Bonnie A. Weaver (1969) who is survived by her husband, Glen Weaver and family; brothers, Howard Ray Stephens and Henry Lee Stephens; sister, Mary Belle Stephens Branch. She is survived by her sons, Bobby H. Austin and wife, Candy, Ronald L. Austin and wife, Gina, all of Raleigh; grandchildren, Bobby H. “Robbie” Austin, Jr. and Christopher John Austin; great-grandchildren, Amber, Ashley and Julius; sisters-in-law, Faye Stephens, Alma Fuquay and grand-dog, Kallah.
