Ellen Turner

GARNER- Ellen Alice Turner, 65, passed away Sunday. Born in Roanoke, VA, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Hale and Myrtle Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, John Warren Turner of Stanley, VA. She was a crossing guard with Prince County, VA for 26 years before retiring and moving to Garner to be with her daughter. Ellen loved to garden and loved music of all genres. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 1177  Mt. Zion Road, Luray, VA. Survivors include her two daughters, Drema Frantz of Garner and Sandra Turner of Woodbridge, VA.; five grandchildren, Scott, Christina, Dylan, John and Amanda.
