Elma Elizabeth Mrs. Campbell

Raleigh- Mrs. Elma Elizabeth Morris Campbell, 93, of Raleigh died at her home Thursday afternoon. She was born in Wake County to the late Jesse Carr Morris, Sr. and Libbie Mooneyham Morris. She retired from Durham Life Insurance Company and served as treasurer at Macedonia United Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Campbell is survived by her son, Carlton L. Campbell, Jr. and wife, Margaret Phil Campbell of Raleigh; daughter, Mrs. Jo Ann Griffin and husband, Michael Griffin of Arlington, TX; brother, Mr. Jesse C. Morris, Jr. of Cary; grandchildren, David Campbell, Marti Leone, Benjamin and Amanda Griffin and great-grandchildren, Taylor and Grayson Leone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton L. Campbell, Sr. and her sisters, Mrs. Albertine Dillard and Mrs. Josephine Jo Jeffreys. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00PM Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Macedonia UMC by Rev. Jesse Staton. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service in the church parlor. A private family burial will be at Montlawn Memorial Park.
