Elmus El Burnette, Jr.

Raleigh- Elmus L. Burnette, Jr., 34, passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013. He was also known as El or Elmo by his family and friends. El worked as an auto mechanic for many years. El had a big heart and would help anyone in need. Family and friends meant the world to him. He had a passion for music and Mopar and was an avid reader. His children were his world. There will be a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM Saturday, Oct. 26th at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1- 3:00 PM prior to the service.El was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Hollifield Burnette. Survivors include his wife, Candace Clark; father, Elmus L. Burnette, Sr.; a daughter, Kayla Burnette; sons, Erik, Dylan, Jacob and Daniel Burnette; sisters, Debra Higgins, Lisa Castillo, Christy Lassiter and Nikki Burnette.
