Elyse Larue Fenerty has won her 9-year battle with brain cancer. Through it all she was an inspiration and blessing. When she first became sick she wrote on her blog the following: “My faith is still strong, mostly because of all the prayers being prayed by friends, family, people I don’t know but hear my story. I know it must sound pitiful, “Thirty-seven year old woman with five young children has an inoperable brain tumor. She’s been told she has a year to eight years to live.” But I have a different story. ”Thirty-seven year old, vibrant, joyful woman with a devoted husband and five awesome gifts from the throne room of Heaven, has been given a chance to live her faith before many people. She lived a pretty average, hum drum life before discovering a brain tumor. And, now, with no hope, but God, she is learning how to really live for Him. She knows, no matter what, she is going to live forever.” https://elysefen.wordpress.com/ Full of fun and determined to live life to the fullest as God intended she signed all her emails “Joyfully Elyse” and she lived that. Knowing that true joy only comes from Christ Elyse lived to serve her Lord, family, friends and church in her sufferings. Most of all she wanted them to teach her how to live for Him and show that to others. We will all miss her smile and sweet, funny presence but know that she has fulfilled her purpose here on earth and leaves a legacy for us to carry on. Funeral services will be held January 18th at 2:00pm at Grace Community Church in Angier with interment following at Erwin Cemetery.
