He joined the army in 1961 and spent 3 years in Paris, France working with the Dental Unit. He returned to Long Island to stay with his sister, Louis in May of 1964 and by December of 1964 was married to Ellen Dillon and starting his family. He and Ellen were married for over 56 years. Mr. Bristle had a 36-year career in Law Enforcement and eventually earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. When he got the cancer diagnosis, he was determined to go through the treatment and continue his journey to 100. Though disappointed that that was not the case, his faith in God and his home in heaven and his trust in God’s plan was enough.
