Emily Bass Atkinson

GARNER- Emily Bass Atkinson, 89, died Tuesday. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Thelma Sullivan Bass. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to the graveside service at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Surviving: daughters, Marie Atkinson Stocks and husband, Jim of Raleigh, Anne Atkinson Corbett and husband, Donald of Zebulon and Sue Atkinson Lambert of Raleigh; son, Andy Scott Atkinson and wife, Lisa of Garner; 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Lee “Bud” Atkinson.
