Emma S. Wood

ANGIER- Emma Stephenson Wood, 90, passed away on Friday at Universal Healthcare in Fuquay-Varina. Born in Wake County, Emma was the daughter of the late Zoe and Minnie Honeycutt Stephenson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. A private entombment will follow later at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. She is survived by her son, Joey Wood and wife, Kathy of Raleigh; grandchildren, Stephanie Mann of Spokane, WA, Kaitlyn Wood of Greensboro, Dylan Wood of Brevard; brother, Lynn Stephenson of Angier. In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Wood and her daughter, Carolyn Faye Wood; brothers, Bela and Billy Stephenson. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 220 New Fidelity Court Garner, NC 27529 in Emma’s memory.
