Ernest Franklin Parker, Jr.

Ernest Franklin Parker, Jr. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on March 29, 2021. He was born October 18, 1948, in Forsyth County to the late Ernest Franklin, Sr. and Pauline Marilyn McGee Parker. Ernest faithfully loved God, family and friends, fishing, his alma mater, Duke University, as well as Duke basketball, paddle boarding, and serving through his church. He was an accomplished Professional Engineer, with expertise in civil and environmental specialties. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 11am, at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Ave. Raleigh, NC 27601. Ernest is survived by his children, Ryan Parker and wife, Blythe, Elysha Parker Strickland and husband, Neil, Sally Parker Nobling and husband, Christopher; grandchildren, Clay Levasseur, Iella Parker, Isaac Parker, Ethan Collins, Holden Blackburn, Grayson Blackburn, and Parker Anne Nobling; and a sister, Diane Wright and her husband, Ray, along with their children and grandchildren.
