Eunice Stephenson Cheves

RALEIGH - Eunice Stephenson Cheves, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 12, 2021. Eunice was born in Durham County on September 22, 1938, daughter of the late Richard and Mary Oneal Stephenson. She served as a Branch Manager in the Raleigh area for many years until her retirement from BB&T in 2003. Eunice was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Cheves and brothers, Andrew Stephenson, Richard Stephenson, Jr., and Tyrone Stephenson. She is survived by her son, Troy Beckwith; brothers, Roddy Stephenson, Timothy Stephenson, Patrick Stephenson, and Frank Stephenson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family will receive visitors from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Private interment for the family will follow at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, Raleigh.
