Euteva Lisec, 93, of Angier, NC, formerly of Mitchell, NE, went home to be with the Lord on October 6, 2016 with her loving family by her side. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 9, at 2:00pm at Bryan Lee Funeral Home in Angier, NC, with Rody Hawkins officiating. She will then return to Mitchell, NE for a service to be held at the Jones Mortuary with Reverend Dale Brown officiating, with interment at the Mitchell, NE cemetery. Euteva was born October 21, 1922 in Gering, NE to Charles Martyn and Edith Marie (Cutler) Ware. She was raised and educated around Bridgeport. She lived most of her life in North Platte Valley. She was united in marriage to Henry Lisec on June 28, 1940 in Bridgeport, NE, where they made their home until 1941 and moved to Sidney, NE. She worked in the grocery store for a short time. In 1943, she and young son, Garry, made their home with her parents while Henry served in World War II. She worked two campaigns in the sugar mill in Bayard, NE during the war. In 1946 after her husband returned from service, they moved to Mitchell, NE where they raised their two sons. She worked several years in the Ben Franklin store before going to work as a cashier for the United Telephone Company of the West in the Mitchell office, where she retired. Euteva loved her lodge and was a fifty year member of the Mitchell Rebekah Lodge. She served as Noble Grand twice, District Deputy twice, and District President. She also loved all kinds of crafts and did a lot of crocheting for family and friends. She loved to travel and fish. She belonged to the Red Dale camping club and traveled with family and friends for 23 years. In 1994, she and Henry moved to North Carolina to be close to their family and enjoy grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to watch the great grandchildren play sports. She said it brought back memories of her two sons playing sports. She only missed two games in the ten years her sons played. She is survived by her sons, Garry and wife Karen Lisec of Cary, NC and Ronald Lisec of Chester, SC, Grandson Scott and wife Vikki of Gainesville, FL, Granddaughter Dawn and husband Paul Hertzig of Wake Forest, NC, five great grandchildren Kendra and Jarred Lisec, Isaiah, Isabella, and Ilaina Hertzig, and numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded by her husband Henry of 68 years of marriage, her parents Charles and Edith Ware, two sisters Eloida Morse and Ella Barnt, two brothers Earl and Everett Ware.
