Evelyn P. Tucker

RALEIGH – Evelyn Peacock Tucker, 89, passed away on Thursday. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Cephas Primrose Peacock and Mary Caroline Mashburn Peacock. She was employed at Dorothea Dix Hospital prior to retirement. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Perry and husband, Walter of Garner, Marie Tucker Bowling of Four Oaks and Ruth Seagroves and husband, Roger of Garner; sons, Robert Dodds and wife, Candace of Las Vegas, NV, James Tucker and wife, Lisa of Smithfield, Junior Tucker and wife, Peggy of Willow Spring and Bobby Tucker and wife, Louise of Four Oaks; 3 sisters and 2 brothers; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Earnest T. Tucker; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-7:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home.
