Ezra Carl Hall

GARNER -Ezra Carl Hall, 84 of Garner,the son of the late Arthur B. Hall and Lucy Edwards Hall of Benson. He was a Private First Class in the U.S. Marine Corps. During basic training he was awarded the Sharpshooter Medal. He served for two years in the Korean War where he was wounded. He was awarded the Purple Heart and was honorably discharged. Ezra was a Master brick mason. There will be a funeral service at 2 PM on Saturday Oct. 27 at First Baptist Church of Garner. Entombment to follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1-2 PM.Ezra was preceded in death by a daughter; Deborah Stafford and a sister, Alene H. West. He is survived by his wife of 60 years; Doris Strickland Hall; sons, Dennis R. Hall and wife Vickie, Randy C. Hall and wife Kim; sisters, Pauline H. Webb, of Dunn; Linda Larue Herring of Dunn and Norma Jean Parrish of Angier; a brother, Junius B. Hall and wife Mertie of Halifax, Va. ; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
