Fay Franklin Johnson

Fay Franklin Johnson of Raleigh, NC transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Fay was born on July 16, 1939, to the late Delno and Mary (Pendergraph) Franklin. Fay is survived by her children, Connie Pittman of Raleigh, NC, Sonya Crevis of Monroe, GA, and Kim Cox of Sanford, NC; her grandchildren, Justin, Andy, Kelsey, Caroline, Jennifer, Joseph, Will and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Vivianna, Nikolas, Jaden, Owen, Gabe, Camilla, Lochlan, Quincy, and Marlee.

Fay is also survived by her brothers, Lewis Franklin (Linda) of Raleigh, Philip Franklin (Debbie) of Winston-Salem, a sister, Carol Clifton (Glenn) of Benson, sister-in-law Lynne Franklin of Wake Forest. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, David Olin Johnson; her brother Richard Franklin, and her sons in law, John Crevis, Jr., and Tommy Cox.

She worked for AT&T for 34 years and retired in 1991. She worked for Rex Hospital part time and full time for over 35 years. She was a very dedicated employee of both.

The family would like to thank special friend and neighbor, Tracey McCloud and many thanks and appreciation to all the doctors, nurses, heath care staff, hospice, and especially Allison Phillips, for their care shown to our Mother over the years.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel in Garner, NC, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh, NC.

Serving as pallbearers are Justin Pittman, Andy Pittman, Joseph Fortune, Will Cox, Hunter Cox, and Philip Franklin.
