Angier– Faye Hamilton Alford, 76, passed away on Saturday at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Cliff and Della Gregory Hamilton. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29th at 2:00 PM at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, Angier. The burial will follow at Kennebec Baptist Church Cemetery, Angier. Faye will lie in state from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the service at the church for anyone that would like to see her. The family will not be present during the time of viewing. Social distancing and the wearing of a mask are encouraged. Faye is survived by her husband of 36 years, Danny Alford; daughter, Tracy Ashworth and husband, Jeff of Angier; sons, Allen Hester and fiancé, Lynn Oliver of Angier, Jeremy Hester and wife, Amy of Aylett, VA; five grandchildren, Caroline Driver and husband, Bradley of Wilson’s Mills, Shean Mullinax and wife, Kandas of Batavia, OH, Cobe Hester of West Columbia, SC, Ryder and Skylar Hester of Aylett, VA; two great grandchildren, Kloey and Braylee Mullinax of Batavia, OH; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers. Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, 4440-A Piney Grove Rd. Angier, NC 27501 in Faye’s memory.
