GARNER – Faye McLamb Crenshaw, 79, passed away Monday after a heroic battle with lung cancer since 2007. Born in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Iula McLamb. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Garner, serving in numerous capacities. She was constantly visiting and sharing food and fellowship with others. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at First Baptist Church of Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Survivors include her daughters, Connie White and husband, William of Fuquay-Varina and Paula Stein and husband, Marty of Garner; sister, Judy Honeycutt of Salemburg; brothers, Jimmy McLamb (Sara) of Salemburg and Tim McLamb (Karen) of Godwin; grandchildren, Brandon Butler (Tiffany), Whitney White, Connor Butler (Rachel) and Kelly White; step-grandchildren, Ashley Stevens, Faith and Grace Stein; numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Neil Crenshaw and four of her brothers. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Memorial contributions may be made to Community of Hope, P.O. Box 1004, Garner, NC 27529.
