Foy Smith Weathers

Foy Smith Weathers, 94, of Harnett County went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Issac Barker of Fuquay-Varina and Alvin Preston Weathers of Fuquay-Varina. She was a well-known seamstress in Fuquay and the surrounding areas for many years. She made and altered many wedding and prom dresses through the years, as well as personal sewing and alterations for the public. She was born in Angier on October 16, 1924 to the late Milton R. Smith and the late Lottie M. Smith. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil Smith of Spring Lake, Odell Smith of Spring Lake, and Edsel Smith of Texas; and one sister, Patricia Ator of Lubbock, Texas. Survivors include her two sons: Charles Issac Barker and wife, Rebecca Corbett Barker of Spring Hope, NC, Russell Gene Barker and wife, Kathy Adcock Barker of Fletcher, NC; step-son, Ronald ONeil Weathers and wife, Mouzetta Zumwalt Weathers of Cary, NC; five grandchildren, Amber (Weathers) Honeycutt, Russell Barker, Issac Barker, Adam Barker, Jameson Barker; five great-grandchildren, Baron Barker, Garrison Barker, Scarlett Honeycutt, Ridge Barker, and Bowie Barker. Also surviving include two brothers, M.R. Smith, Jr. and Jerry Smith both of Angier; two sisters, Elma Smith of Spring Lake and Peggy Smith of Robbins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. She will be laid to rest at Rawls Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service.
