Frances Fish Roberts

d. August 5, 2013

Raleigh- Frances Fish Roberts, 95, died peacefully on August 5, 2013 at home with family by her side. Frances was born in Wagram, NC and was the daughter of the late Mamie F. Fish and Paul P. Fish. She had four brothers and was also preceded in death by three of her brothers, Barney Livingston Fish, Claude Wilton Fish, and Billy Stewart Fish. Who can find a virtuous woman? She is worth far more than rubies…She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy…She is clothed with strength and dignity and she shall rejoice in time to come…She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue…Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. - Proverbs 31 Frances was a devoted follower of Christ who lived her daily life striving to be a godly woman. She cared deeply for others and displayed Jesus’ love and compassion in her actions and service to others. A quote was found tucked away in her bible that portrays the Christ like attitude that Frances exhibited. I expect to pass through this world, but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to to any fellow human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. - Stephen Grellet Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband, Leon Anthony Roberts. She is survived by her son, Paul A.
