Frances W. Brown

Frances W. Brown, 95, died Saturday surrounded by her loving family. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Kelso Kedron Wood and Lena Murray Wood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Brown; son, David Strickland and twelve siblings. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 1:00 PM at Swift Creek Baptist Church, 9300 Penny Rd., Raleigh. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Jones; sons, Albert Strickland and wife, Pearl, Bobby Strickland and wife, Mickie; ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, twenty two great-great grandchildren, and eight great-great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
