Frances G. Wilson

Frances G. Wilson, 94, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025. She was born in Wake County, North Carolina, on December 21, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Amos Grissom and Mamie Grissom.

Frances was an exceptional mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. The thing she was most fond of was her family, her love and commitment to her family was something to admire and was reflected in all that she did. She will be remembered fondly by her family and friends as a woman of great strength and conviction.

In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by her birth mother, Minnie Grissom; and by her husband, Edward Lee Wilson.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Brenda Sauls (Marshall), Gail Lynch, and Sheila Ford (Lawrence); son, Jerry Wilson; grandchildren, Toni Sauls (Mary Ferguson), Calvin Sauls (Kate), April Phillips (Sterling), Justin Wilson, Lauren Ford (Rafael), and Ashley Ford; and by 8 great grandchildren, all of whom she loved very dearly.

A private family graveside service will be held at Mount Zion Global Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their deep appreciation and gratitude towards the staff at Transitions Lifecare. The dedication and love they showed Frances is truly admirable, and it is evident that they made a significant impact on her life.
