Frank Bowen

Angier– Frank Bowen, 80, passed away at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield on Saturday. Born in Columbus County, Frank was the son of the late Walter Bowen and Naomi Merritt Bowen. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 6:00 PM at Plainview Presbyterian Church, Angier. Frank is survived by his wife of 31 years, Janie Bowen; daughter, Vicki Strickland and husband, Rocky of Newton Grove; sons, Mark Bowen and wife, Francis of Fayetteville, Kenneth Bowen and wife, Karen of Holly Springs, Patrick Peterson of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Lynette Morlan of Cannon City, CO; brothers, Dave Warren and wife, Nancy of Falcon, MO, Lynn Warren of Alabama; grandchildren, Christopher Strickland, Wendy Mccauley, Jamie Bowen, Frank Stocks, Jr., Michelle Lamica; eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his brother, William Warren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SECU Hospice House, 426 Hospital Rd. Smithfield, NC 27577 in Frank’s memory.
