Frank Elroy Rhinehart Jr. 72, of Raleigh, NC passed away at Duke Regional Hospital February 26, 2024.
Frank was born in Charleston, WV in 1951 to Frank Rhinehart Sr. and Alice Rhinehart. Frank attended Bluefield High School before continuing his education at Bluefield State College, majoring in Engineering. After graduating, Frank proceded in his career as a field estimator and construction manager.
Frank was preceded in death by his Father Frank Rhinehart Sr and Mother Alice Rhinehart and nephew Aaron Sigmon. He is survived by the love of his life for nearly 50 years, Diana Rhinehart, daughter Chrissy Claypool and husband Steve of Garner NC, daughter Aja Rhinehart and partner Nader Salib of Raleigh NC, brother David Rhinehart of Princeton WV, sister Kim Sigmon and husband Richard of Princeton WV: along with nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Charlene Zeisig and husband Wolfgang of Bluefield VA and friends he played music with.
Frank was a lover of music where he was a bassist of Transit Times band with others, including Dave Watkins, Dave Ruble, Bob Cole, Dick Erskine, Kenny Kirby, Sonny Godwin, Lynette Maxheimer, and Aundrea LaShea, for over 30 years. Frank also played music at many venues including Sam’s in Princeton WV, with friends Freddy and Linda Modad. Frank loved walking at the park with Diana, followed by going to lunch for a hotdog, his cat Suki, UFO documentaries, police chases on YouTube, and spending time with his family and vacationing at Pawley’s Island SC.
A private service will be held on Saturday March 2nd, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner NC, and a celebration of life will be held at a future date.
