Frank William Small

Frank W. Small Sr., 85 died peacefully at Universal Healthcare in Fuquay Varina, NC on Saturday, April 10,2021 after a period of declining health. Born in Boston, MA; he was the son of the late Vera M. Small. Frank is predeceased by his wife Claire. They shared a devoted marriage of 66 years until her passing in January of 2021., Frank is survived by their beloved children, Linda C. Plante and her husband Gary of Raleigh, NC, Frank W. Small Jr. of Framingham, MA, Stephen W. Small of Brookfield, MA, Joseph L. Small of Worcester, MA. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sister: Judith Dugger. Special mention to dear friends, Joseph and Diane Mancini of Smithfield, NC., Rosemary Chudzik of Scarborough ME and Diane Rollins of Mt. Pleasant SC. Born and raised in Boston, Frank and Claire moved to Southborough, MA in 1960 and resided there until their move to Cary, NC in 2016. Frank worked for General Electric and General Motors as a Tool & Die Maker. After his retirement, he was very involved with the Southborough Senior Center. He participated in the talent shows, hosted the Bingo events and any card game that was offered! And of course, he was a huge fan of the Patriots and the Red Sox. Frank’s proudest achievement was being a long-time caregiver for his wife as she struggled with health issues and Dementia. A memorial celebration will be private and at a future date.
