Franklin Scott Robinson

February 1, 1962 — October 29, 2023

Scott was born in Gastonia, but spent his latter childhood years in Apex. He was a proud NC State graduate. He was an engineer and served in both the NC Air Guard and the US Air Force. Type 1 Diabetes cut his military career short. He was a true warrior though. He first tackled diabetes, including receiving two pancreas transplants. Most recently he faced Parkinson’s proactively by becoming a regular participant in Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s in New Bern.

He enjoyed hanging out with our ‘kids’ and his dog Charlie. He also loved small group Bible Study. While he was able, he enjoyed walks, and riding his recumbent trike.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Robinson, daughter Amity Robinson, son C. Scott Robinson, sister Glenda Curlee, sister Mandy Townsend (Alan), nieces Betsy Conyers (Joseph), Beka Thornton (Trevor), nephew Jacob Townsend (Jenna) and Matthew Robinson. He also had 3 great-nephews & 1 great-niece. He was pre-deceased by his Mom (Willie Robinson), Dad (James Robinson) and his brother Benji Robinson.

Please consider a donation in memory of Scott Robinson in his ultimate fight against Parkinson’s. All funds donated will go to help our Building Fund to acquire a larger space to serve our New Bern Parkinson Community and their beneficial exercise and support programs.
