GARNER – Fulton Cooper, 91, passed away after a short battle with cancer Sunday, January 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17th at 12:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM-12:00PM on Thursday, January 17th prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park. Fulton was born June 12, 1927 in Aynor, South Carolina to the late Furney Cooper and Adline Baxley Cooper. He served in the US Army from 1945-1947. Following his time in the Army he made his career in construction work for over 60 years. His passion was fishing, working in his garden and his “Little Red Truck”. He loved meeting up with his friends at the “Toot” to have coffee. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Vonceil Cooper; a brother, Jessie Cooper; a sister, Ernestine Kerling; a daughter, Brenda Vaughan Williams, a granddaughter, Kristie Ann McNeill; 2 great granddaughters and 7 great-great grandchildren.
