Garth Wayne Landtroop

LILLINGTON – Garth Wayne Landtroop, 88, passed away Thursday morning at Fayetteville VA Medical Center. Born in Waco, TX, he was the son of the late Cecil and Josie Landtroop.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, March 7th at The Pentecostals of Fuquay Church. Burial will follow the service at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier.

Garth is survived by his wife, Bobbie Irene Landtroop; son, DeWayne Landtroop (Barbara) of Laurinburg; daughter, Loretta Simpson (Elbia) of Raleigh; brother, Kenneth Landtroop (LaFern) of Whitesboro, TX; sisters, Lenda Davidson of Garner, and Patsy Huntley (Wayne) of Garner; grandchildren, Rodney Landtroop (Renee) of Fuquay-Varina, Jeffrey Landtroop (Candice) of Morristown, TN, Ashley Morris (Bryan) of Elizabeth City, Travis Thornton (Jessica) of Waco TX, and Lyric Simpson of Raleigh, Angela Wooley (Tony) of Groesbeck, TX, and Angel Partin of Elizabeth City; and a host of great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Malcolm Landtroop and sister-in-law, Dorothy Landtroop, Travis Weldon Landtroop; daughter-in-law, Joyce Landtroop; great-grandson, Travis Trailer Weldon Thornton; and great-great-granddaughter, Zillyana Thornton.
