Gary Roger O'Neal

Gary O’Neal passed away on 7/1/22 with his wife by his side. Gary received his salvation at Mid-Way Baptist Church in 1987, so he stepped into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with no more pain and suffering. Gary was a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served 3 tours of duty in the US Army with the NSA. Following his military service, he was an electrician with the State of NC. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie & Margaret O’Neal, and his sister, Margaret Ann Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of over 48 years, Sharon O’Neal of Garner. He is also survived by his daughter Holly and son-in-law Mike Wolenski of Raleigh, and their daughter, Maura (2 months); as well as his daughter Heather and son-in-law Matt McMorran of Raleigh, and their children Canaan (11), Cecelia (5), John (3) and Sylvie (2 weeks). He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Sheyla Mackey of Mauldin, SC, and several nieces and nephews. His family would like to thank the Durham VA Hospital for their loving and expert care, Accessible Home Health Care (Joy & Angela), and the Mid-Way Baptist Church family (Wayne Daniels & Bob Johnson).
