Gene Thomas Carroll

Fuquay-Varina – Gene Thomas Carroll, 84, passed away on August 1, 2023. A native of Johnston County, Gene was born September 30, 1938 to the late John Ray and Agnes Jones Carroll.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 5th, at 11:00 A.M. in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 1200 Benson Road Garner, NC 27529. Burial will follow at the White Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Willow Spring, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 -11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Gene is survived by his spouse, Donna Utley; daughters, Kara Elaine Carroll and Terrie Elizabeth Carroll Deal (Jeff); sons, Mike Carroll (Renee), Thomas “Alan” Carroll (Sheila), Greg Carroll (Aimee), and Eddy Carroll; sister, Penny Carroll Phipps; brother, James Carroll (Debbie); grandchildren, Megan (Ryan), Zach (Kelsey), Hannah, Gabrielle, Carson, and Caleb; and great-grandchildren, Bohen and Brooks.

In addition to his parents, Gene was preceded in death by granddaughter, Jamie and sister, Betty Stephenson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Gene’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
