George E. Baseley

It is with great sadness that the family of George E. Baseley announces his passing at the age of 83. He will be missed and never forgotten by his wife of 33 years, Linda Schippers Baseley, his sister-in-law and best friend, Nancy Schippers, and many other family members in Alaska, Florida, Texas and England. Prior to moving to the U. S. when he and Linda were married and moving to Garner in 1995 when IBM transferred them to the area, he served for 23 years in the British Army. While he travelled to over 50 countries during his tour of duty, he was happiest here in the U.S. A private tribute in memory of George will be held on July 31 followed by interment in the family plot at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC.
