Angier—George Paschal Beasley, 84, beloved husband and father, went to be with his Lord in Heaven on Friday, September 29. A native of Harnett County, he was the son of the late William and Ora Hargrove Beasley. Mr. Beasley was an Angier police officer for 16 years before retiring from the town of Angier in 1995. He also ran Beasley’s Grocery for 4 years and was always generous and ready to help anyone in town with grass cutting, painting, and other handyman work. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00 am at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie Young Beasley; daughters, Gloria B. Taylor and husband, Dean of Raleigh, Susan B. Bullock of Charlotte, NC; granddaughters Sarah Alexandra Taylor, and Makayla HuiJu Bullock; son-in-law Steven Bullock; brother, Freddie Beasley of Coats. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.
