Gerald “Jerry” Renegar

ANGIER – Gerald Dallas Renegar, 67, of Benson North Carolina went to be with our Lord April 23, 2015. A native of Iredell County, he was the son of late Harold “Bunny” Renegar and Dorothy Elliott Renegar. Gerald was a trusted and faithful employee of First Citizens Bank from which he retired in 2014, but most importantly he was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, caring son and protective brother. He was a man that always put others above himself, but most of all he stood firm on his beliefs and trusted in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45 PM at the church prior to the service. Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church, Angier. The burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. He is survived by the love of his life of 48 years Jeraldiene Todd Renegar; three daughters that he treasured, Melynda Roberts and husband Burt Roberts, Melyssa Kepple and husband John Kepple, Michelle Fontanez and husband Jonathan Fontanez; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Amanda, Hudson, Abbie, Andrew, Sarah, Anna which gave him great “Joy”; two brothers, Gene Renegar and wife, Pam of North Carolina, Chuck Renegar and wife, Patsy of Texas; a stepmother, Joyce Renegar of North Carolina. He also had many brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins that he cared for greatly. In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by a stepmother, Nina Renegar.
