Gerald R. Porter, Jr.

January 2, 1960 - March 29, 2012 Raleigh - Gerald Gerry, 52, the husband of Patricia Porter died early Thursday morning. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. In his love of flying airplanes and building with wood he has managed to pass on his dedication for both to his son and son-in-law. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 on Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Garner United Methodist Church. Church service will be held at 2pm following visitation. There will be a private burial following the service. Surviving: Mother Linda Bergquist of Gasport, Father Gerald porter and wife Marge of Kent, Wife Patricia Porter of Raleigh, Daughter Nicole Slater and husband Steve of Garner, Son Gerald Porter III and wife Bobbie of Raleigh, Grandchildren Gerald Porter IV, Isabelle Slater, Dustin Porter, Emma Slater, Hannah Slater, Jamie Slater, and Haleigh Porter.
