Geraldine Williams Myers

Geraldine Williams Myers, Raleigh, passed away peacefully Sept. 29, 2018. A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, N.C. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents, Joseph Adam Williams and Loma Massengill Williams, She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Edsel Williams, Josie W. Thompson, Lloyd Williams and Irva W. Daniels. Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Donna Hughes and husband, Steve, of Raleigh; son, Steve Myers and wife, Beth, of Asheville; and granddaughter, Joyner Myers and a number of loving nieces and nephews. Geraldine was born in Johnston County, but lived most of her life in Raleigh. She was the secretary to the vice president of Institutional Advancement for Meredith College for many years. Geraldine took pleasure in trips to the mountains and to the beach. She was an avid reader, collected many sea shells and enjoyed spending time with family.
