Glenn E. Billy Goodwin

Glenn Elward Billy Goodwin, 86, died Wednesday. Born in Chatham County, he was the son of the late Carlie E. and Ida Howard Goodwin. Mr. Goodwin was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He retired from the NC Department of Transportation after 30 years of service. His interests included spending time with his family and yardwork. Funeral services will be 3:30 Sunday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Peggy Wall Goodwin; son, Darryl Goodwin and wife, Donna of Clayton; granddaughters, Robyn and Haley Goodwin; sister-in-law, Kathleen Goodwin of Raleigh. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00-3:30 pm prior to the service.
