RALEIGH – Gordon Clifton Mann, 98, died Saturday. Born on August 1, 1923 into a loving home of four brothers and one sister. Gordon graduated from Hugh Morson High School on June 4, 1941. He met and married Annette Worrells on November 3, 1943. Gordon joined the United States Navy and fought during World War II. In his civilian training he continued as a dental technician and he eventually owned his own dental lab and his two grandsons, David Scott and Barry Dillon worked with him. Funeral Service will be 2:00 Friday at Highland Baptist Church, 8524 Crowder Road, Raleigh. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Gordon was surrounded by his loving family until he passed away after 98 years. His family stood in his presence as he began his heavenly journey. Survivors include his daughter, Patsy Mann Scott; grandchildren, Shelley Jessup, David G. Scott all of Raleigh and Mark Dillon of Clayton; great grandchildren, Caroline Stanford and special great grandson son-in-law, Trey Stanford of Angier, Brittney Jessup, Jacob Jessup and his fiancé, Marissa Ray all of Cary; great great grandchildren, Chloe Stanford, Maci Stanford and Jaxxon Stanford all of Angier. He is predeceased by his wife, Annette Mann, daughter, Judy Dillon, grandson, Barry Dillon, one sister and 4 brothers.
