Grace Grap

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Grace Grap, 82, of Zebulon NC. Grace passed quietly with family at her side Sunday morning April 6th, at WakeMed in Raleigh.

Grace was born Dec 9th, 1942 to Joseph and Francis LaCorti, in Trenton NJ. In her early 30's Grace traveled across the country to Orange County California where she and husband Peter opened a business buying and selling antique furniture. After closing their business and retiring Grace and Pete relocated to North Carolina. Grace stopped by Bunn lake in Zebulon, and immediately knew that this is where they wanted to be. After purchasing a home on the lake, together they spent the next 20 years making it their absolute dream home.

Grace loved the lord and was a member of Social Plains Baptist Church in Zebulon.

In addition to her parents, Grace is predeceased by her Sister Vickie, whom she missed dearly, and her husband of 50 years and love of her life Peter. Grace is survived by her brother Peter LaCorti, Her children Nanette Sawaia and husband Michael, George Devlin and wife Jan, grandchildren Dustin Lanning, Nicholas Devlin and Wife Starla, Mitchell Sawaia and Wife Alex, Matthew Sawaia and wife Emma, Great grandchildren Brooklynn, Jamie, Kendall and Shepherd.

A memorial service will be held at Social Plains Baptist Church in Zebulon on Saturday April 26th.
