In Loving Memory of: ANGIER- Grace Lynn Benson, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday July 6, 2021 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC. A native of Chilton County Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Julius Washington Price and Oma Lee Pounds Price. Grace will be missed by her husband of 47 years, Mike Benson; daughters, Shannon Benson Franklin (Kirk) of Fuquay-Varina, Lacy Lynn Benson of Fuquay-Varina; sons, Nathan Lee Benson (Pam) of Angier, Charles Casey Benson of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Linda Robinson (Olin) of Thorsby, AL; brother, Randall Price (Jean) of Eclectic, AL, Michael Price (Sara) of Clanton, AL; grandchildren, Nathan Miles Benson, Jackson Lee Benson, Ava Lynn Benson, Charles Curtis Benson, Sophie Grace Franklin, and Hollie Suzanne Franklin; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Richardson and Diane Urich. Grace will be remembered as a devoted wife to her husband and a loving mother to her four children. She cherished her role as G.G. to her six grandchildren and loved cooking for her family, especially on the holidays. Grace had a remarkable “green thumb” caring for the variety of plants and beautiful flowers scattered around her yard. She was kind hearted and everyone loved her dearly. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, July 18th at 2:00 PM at Angier Baptist Church, Angier, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 PM prior to the service at the church. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Angier Baptist Church in Grace’s memory.
