Grady Buddy Newton

ANGIER- Grady 'Buddy' Newton, 79, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 8 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Willie and Thelma Newton and he is predeceased by two sisters, M. 'Rickie' Norton and Maxine Strickland. Mr. Newton is survived by his wife of 63 years Runell Newton, daughter, Loretta N. Pleasant and husband, Steve of Coats; son, Trent Newton and wife, Kim of Lillington; sister, Paulette Cooper of Smithfield; brother, Harold Newton of Willow Spring; four grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday at Neills Creek Baptist Church, Angier with burial to follow at Harnett Memorial Park, Lillington.
