Fuquay-Varina- Graham Franklin Howard, Sr., 94, a lifetime farmer, died Sunday. A native of Harnett County, he was the son of the late Clave and Bessie Ellis Howard. Mr. Howard proudly served his country during World War II, seeing combat in Italy as a member of the 5th Army, 473rd Infantry Division. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at Angier Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fuquay-Varina. Surviving: his wife, Edna Creech Howard; sons, Frankie and Ken Howard, both of Fuquay-Varina and Rudy Howard (Nan) of Wilmington; stepson, Jeff Coe (Paula) of Benson; stepdaughters, Lu-Ann Perryman of Cary and Charlotte Addison (Robbie) of Clayton; grandchildren, Frank and Lane Howard, Melanie Ernst and Felecia Hipp; Step Grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew and Cindy Radford, Heather and Michael Coe, Great Grandchildren, Lauden, Kolby, Wyatt and Rylee; Step Great Grandchildren, J.D., Amberlyn and Jase. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings; Bruce, Ada Lee, Josephine, Milton “Buck”, Louise, Virginia, Charles, Helen and Jimmy. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Flowers are appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to the Angier VFW, 1501 N.
