Greg Anthony Douglas

FUQUAY-VARINA - Greg Anthony Douglas, 43, passed away on Thursday. A native of Fayette County, KY and resident of North Carolina, he is the son of Mrs. Shirley Sauer Douglas and the late Charles Robert Douglas.The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00- 8:00 at Bryan-Lee funeral home, Angier.Funeral Services will be held Saturday Sept. 24th at Salem Baptist Church, Apex at noon.Surviving are his wife, Melissa Howard Douglas; sons Graham and Brendan of the home; sister Lisa Lizer and husband Darren; brother Allen Douglas and wife Kathy.Greg was known as a faithful husband, father, and friend.He will long be remembered for his wit, sense of humor, friendly nature and loving heart.He was committed to his church, his family and his Savior, Jesus Christ.He was a diligent, hard-working man who worked for Cisco Systems since 2000.He had a great love for golf and fishing.His greatest legacy will be the loving way that he took care of his family.His boys were the joys of his life and he was a devoted father.He was a faithful husband to his wife Melissa and will be greatly missed by all.We take comfort today in the knowledge that Greg has finally finished a long battle against non-hodgins lymphoma and now is enjoying the heaven that his legacy of faith has earned.We take comfort in the fact that we will see him again one day!Memorials can be made to the Kennebec Baptist Church Building Fund.PO Box 1690, Angier, NC.
