Gwendolyn “Gwen” Huddleston Barwick

RALEIGH – Gwen Huddleston Barwick, 89, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 24, 2018. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Midway Baptist Church, Raleigh. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:30-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner on Monday, August 27, 2018; and other times at the home of Tim and Cindy Barwick. Gwen was born in Wake County to the late Louis and Margaret “Maggie” Hayes Huddleston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Braxton B. Barwick; and a brother, Edward Huddleston. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Lambert (Phil) of Clayton; son, Tim Barwick (Cindy) of Willow Spring; brother, Dan Huddleston (Judy) of Garner; sister-in-law, Mary Joyce Esancy of Garner; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
