Harold E. Rev. Aldridge

Garner- Rev. Harold E. Aldridge, 87, passed away at home Sunday. A native of Waycross, GA, he is the son of the late Rev. James E. Aldridge and Elizabeth Highsmith Aldridge.Rev. Aldridge was ordained as an Advent Christian minister in August of 1953. He has pastored churches in Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia and Florida and served as President of the Advent Christian Virginia Conference for 4 years and the Advent Christian Georgia Conference for 13 years. After retiring in 2000, he continued his ministry by providing interim pastorate services until his recent declining health.Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Garner Advent Christian Church. Burial will follow at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church, Benson. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Allene Carter Aldridge; daughters, Darlene A. Barnard of Garner, Sharon A. McGee of Hanover, VA; son, Stephen E. Aldridge and wife, Annette of Clayton; sister, Carolyn A. Hutchison of Waycross, GA; brothers, Rev. Silas B. Aldridge of Live Oak, FL. Gilbert E. Aldridge, Carl L. Aldridge, and Henry W. Aldridge all of Waycross, GA. Ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Rev. Aldridge was predeceased by his brother Lewis S. Aldridge.The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Garner Advent Christian Church.Memorial contributions may be made to Garner Advent Christian Church, P.O.
