Harry Joe Joye

Harry Joe Joye, 77, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Harry was born January 17, 1945, in Columbia, SC, to the late Joseph Marvin and Edna Catherine Bazen Joye. In 1967, he met the love of his life, Patricia Ann Hall, and the two were married the following year. He started his career in refrigeration with Winn Dixie, before retiring to work on his family farm. While working on the farm, he started Joye’s Refrigeration in 1976, and has been successful to this day. He loved all animals, but especially horses. In a pasture, surrounded by his horses, was his happy place. More than anything, he loved his family, surrounding himself with them at home and at Joye’s Refrigeration.

A funeral service will be held Monday, September 26, 2022, at 1:00 pm, in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Garner. Interment at Montlawn Memorial Park will follow. The family will receive friends from 3-6 pm, Sunday evening, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home.

Harry is survived by his children, April Joye Myers and husband, Barry, Joseph M. Joye, II, and Karen Joye Johnson and husband, Kenny; grandchildren, Ryan and Abbey Fogt, and Wyatt and Skyler Lee; sisters, JoAnn Dubose and husband, Roger, Cathy Brown, and Mary Cook and husband, Andy; brother, Billy Joye and wife, Katy; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of more than 53 years, Patricia Ann Hall Joye and a daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Joye.
